post Compare Term Life Insurance - The Only Way To Save Money

April 15th, 2006

Filed under: Money Management — admin @ 6:34 pm

Term life insurance shopping is easier than shopping for the equity based permanent plans. It is much easier to compare term life insurance because it is the simplest form of all life insurance policies. Term life insurance consists of a few things that make your shopping relatively easy. Term life insurance means that there is a definite term or period of time that you are insured. The insurance coverage will cease at the end of the term period. The first thing that you must choose is the time period that you need the coverage. A home mortgage policy is the best and easiest example. It is usually a decreasing term policy that declines at approximately the same rate as the home mortgage. It is the perfect policy to protect your home. The amount of insurance and the time period is already in place and that enables you to have a well defined quote comparison.

There are some things to consider when comparing term to term. Most of your insurance carriers will be stock companies. They are owned and operated by the stockholders. Their policies have no dividends. Mutual Insurance companies are technically owned by the policyholders and so a dividend is often returned back to the insured. It is better to compare stock companies with stock companies and mutual companies with mutual companies when shopping for term life insurance.

The online shopper has a great advantage when comparing term life insurance. It makes it so much easier when they are looking for term Life insurance. The permanent plans have so many variables and options as compared to term life insurance. Make sure that you compare the same face amounts with the same time periods. Term policies are sometimes sold in bands. That means that the rates for higher face amounts may decline per thousand dollars of coverage. You can be aggressive when you know the amount of coverage you need and the length of time you need it. Determine those two needs and then shop until you drop.

post Helping Your Child Be Healthy and Fit

April 15th, 2006

Helping Your Child Be Healthy and Fit
For The Coming School Year….

Shools In Session:

Long-term good health is less an accident than the result
of good habits and wise choices. To enjoy good health now and
in the future, youngsters must learn how to eat, exercise,
sleep, control stress, and be responsible for personal
cleanliness and reducing the risk of disease. In addition, they
need to be aware of what to do in an emergency and when to say
“no”.

Habits that include eating nutritious foods and
understanding the relationship between physical and emotional
health will help your child grow up healthy. Your child’s
ability to learn and the chances for a longer and more productive life can be greatly improved by developing and following good health practices.

First of All, Your Child Is Special

The mental and emotional health of your child is just as important as physical health. From the earliest moment, a child needs to feel that he or she is special and cared about by family members and friends.

A child who enjoys good mental and emotional health is able to approach new situations with confidence. When children are comfortable with hemselves, they can express their emotions in a positive way.

As children learn to value themselves and develop confidence in their ability to make responsible decisions, they are building a sense of self-worth or self-esteem.

Parents and teachers share the responsibility for helping children build self-confidence. A child who is confident is more successful in everyday interactions with peers and adults.

Confidence in one’s abilit to learn new and difficult skills can affect future achievement, as well. Developing a trusting relationship with your child, establishing open communication, and recognizing personal achievements are all important. When children know they can do something well, it makes them feel special.

Get Ready, Get Set, Grow Up Healthy

From the time your child is born, there are ways in which you can help your child learn how to grow up healthy. Good nutrition does not mean that your children cannot eat
their favorite foods or that they must eat foods they do not like.

Good nutrition means variety and moderation in a person’s diet. Choosing what foods to eat is important in pursuing a healthy life. Your children may choose to eat certain foods because they taste good or because they are available. Make nutritious foods available and monitor the “sometimes”
foods–sugary snacks and fatty desserts.

Good health is a blend of physical and emotional well-being. Exercises are basic elements of physical fitness
that should be part of play.

Aerobic exercises, such as jogging or jumping, that increase the heartbeat, strengthen the heart and muscles, improve endurance, condition the total body, and help prevent disease. Anaerobic, slow, stretching exercises improve flexibility and muscular fitness. Both types of exercise are important and fun.

We all face stressful situations. With family members, with teachers, with friends, and with strangers problems can arise that make your child feel anxious, nervous, confused, or
frightened.

Too much stress or the wrong kind of stress can make it difficult for children to learn. Helping your child learn appropriate and healthy ways of handling stress, through exercise, proper sleep, discussing problems with an adult, or breaking down jobs into manageable parts.

Physical fitness is a vital part of being healthy. Forchildren, being and staying physically fit can happen with activities they refer to PLAY! Play that makes them breathe deeply is aerobic exercise.

Aerobic activities such as bicycling, jumping rope, roller skating, running, dancing, and swimming can be beneficial if they are done for 12 to 15 minutes without stopping.

The young child develops an active lifestyle as he or she begins to creep, crawl, and then walk. Young children learn how to move in their environment by playing alone in their own personal space.

As children grow, they hop, march, run, roll, toss, bounce, and kick. Their bodies are changing in terms of height
and weight, and they are beginning to form a self-conceptthrough comparison with others as they move.

Family Friendly Business-Part 1Cynthia Fox

Following my passion for handcrafting candles and soaps in business has taken a new turn for me. I am choosing to combine my passions with more focus on customer service and growing the business to make this a family friendly business. By this I mean, having paid staff on site to provide care and mentoring for employee’s children. I am not talking about hiring someone just to give them a job. Rather people with a real heart for children. This will enable a mom to take a break and nurse her child or attend to whatever the need may be. could be as nice as having lunch with her child. I will be overjoyed if couples decide to work here. But am very grieved at single mothers, struggling so hard to find consistent child care with providers who truly have child’s interest a theart. And providers that they can afford. The seperation of the family grieves me as well. I come from a place of moms being keepers at home, raising kids, and not in the slightest bit unfulfilled. I’ve also been on the other
side–due to circumstances a single mom has to provide and needs a way to do so without compromising her relationship with her children and the child’s well-being. Maybe you think I am idealistic. But I believe this is going to work. Watch and see.
Even couples have a difficult time when faced with working and child care issues. The cost is a difficult hurdle all by itself. I don’t believe sales or production will be hampered in any way. Rather I believe they will be boosted. I believe this has a lot to do with the peace that comes when my employees know their children are there there and in excellent hands. They can take a break and go spend time with them and so much more.
I was greatly inspired by Sandy Maine who owns Sunfeather Soap company. She talks about a family friendly businesss in her book, Creating An Herbal Body Care Business. She maybe doesn’t go as far as I am. But she still encouraged me to dream big.
Of course there are those who work to get a break from their kids. Maybe they get too stressed being with them all day or for other reasons.
